Opobo Excerpts Book Will Enhance Recognition of Opobo Kingdom – Warisenibo Ernest Ogolo

A book titled “Opobo Excerpts” written by Mr. Gibson Nelon Ogolo, has been described as a book that would enhance wider recognition and cultural heritage of ancient Opobo kingdom.
In a chat with journalists during the public presentation of the book at the Delta Hotels, Port Harcourt, Warisenibo Ernest Ogolo said it is an interesting book that gave insight of Opobo Kingdom, describing the author as a man of integrity, hard working, whose unrelentless commitment to service has elevated him to his present status and urged the public to encourage the author by patronizing him.
Earlier in his speech, Hon. Dagogo Eli Leg-Jack, JP, the chairman of the occasion who described the book as wonderful and important, noted that the book analyzed the history of Opobo kingdom and recommended the book to the general public for consumption.
Reviewing the book, Dr. Francis Minimah a university of Port Harcourt lecturer noted that the book gave a comprehensive account of the ancient Opobo kingdom.
According to him, the book touches all part of Opobo kingdom, politically, historically, economically, cultural heritage, as well King Jaja, the founding father of Opobo kingdom and his trial, adding that the book is a good reference material and noteworthy contribution to the growing literature on Opobo which would be useful to the general public for research and consumption. ####
