Then if the pope is the Vicar of Christ or Christ himself as he is the visible head of the church, why are the church claiming to be under the promised comforter? Is pope the promised comforter? The question is genuine because most or all of the church doctrine were put in place by the succeeded popes. Let us investigate the claims of various denominations on the doctrine of Sunday worship or rest so as to unravel who head the christainity.
The Catholic Press Sydney, Australia, August 1900 speaks on Sunday worship thus “Sunday is a Catholic Institution, and its claim to observance can be defended only on catholic principles… from begining to end of scriptures there is not a single passage that warrant the transfer of weekly public worship from the last day of the week to the first”.
Again John Gilmory Shea in his book titled “IN THE AMERICAN CATHOLIC QUATERLY REVIEW” January 1883 supported the claim in this form “Protestantism in discarding the authority of the Roman Catholic Church has no good reason for its Sunday theory, and aught logically to keep Saturday as the Sabbath”.
Again the book by Stephen Keeran called Doctrinal Catechism, page 176 used this question and answer to support the claim “Question: -Have you any other way of proving that the Catholic Church has power to institute festivals of percepts (to command holy days)”.
Answer: -had she not such power, she could not have done that in which all modern religionists agree with her. She could not have substituted the observance of Sunday the first day of the week for the observance of Saturday, the seventh day, a change for which there is no scriptural authority?”
The Catholic Mirror December 23, 1893 lend his support in this form “season and common sense demand that acceptance of one or the other of these two alternatives, either Protestantism and the keeping holy of Saturday (Sabbath) or catholicity and the keeping holy of Sunday, comprise is impossible.
Then let us look into the reactions of the protestants over the Catholic claim of authority over all Christian issues.
The Methodist claim can be understood through the work of AMOS BINNEY called “THEOLOGICAL COMPEDIUM” (pp 180, 181 “It is true that there is no positive command for infant baptism, nor is there any for keeping holy the first day of the week. Many believe that Christ changed the Sabbath, but from his words, we see that he came for no such purpose. Those who believe that Jesus changed the Sabbath base it only on a supposition”.
Again the position of the ANGLICANS is made clear by Isaac William’s Plain Sermons on the Catechism pp 334, 336 “And where are we told in the scripture that we are to keep the first day at all? We are commanded to keep the seventh (Sabbath), but we are no where commanded to keep the first day”.
Again the PRESBYTARIANS position is understood from the work of CANON EYTON TEN COMMANDMENTS “There is no word or hint in the new testament about abstaining from work on Sunday, the observation of Ash Wednesday or Lent period stands exactly on the same footing as the observance of Sunday, no divine law enters”.
Let us look into the sermon by Dr. E. T. Hislox at the Baptist Ministers Conversion New York on November 16, 1893 as it represents the BAPTIST OPINION on the Sunday workshop “of course I quite well know that Sunday worship did not come into use in early Christian history as a religious day, as we lean from Christian fathers and other sources. But what a pity that it came with the mark of paganism and christened with the name of the saviour, then adopted and sanctified by the Papal apostasy and banqueted as a scared legacy to Protestantism”.
With all this listings, you must come to the full awareness that the church is led by Popes and the Bishops but not the promised comforter of mankind. The activities of popes and Bishops especially during the dark ages makes it clearly understood that they are not under the influence, control or teachings of the comforter who is to hear from Yahoshea and teach the entire believers. For instance the book WESTERN WATCHMAN November 21, 1912 explained in bit the activities of the church during the dark age in this way “On August 24, 1527 Roman Catholics in France, by pre-arranged plan, under Jesuist influence murdered 70, 000 protestants with the space of two months.
The pope rejoiced when he heard the news of the successful outcome”. Then can the man with such heart and character be a representative of the comforter?
We Yahosheans, the disciples of Most Senior Prophet Yahmarabhi Ha Comforter totally rejects such person as a representative of the ETERNAL COMFORTER. We belief that the comforter has come in human form as his predecessors (prophets and the saviour) and has fulfilled all the conditions of his mandate.
We solidly believe that the Comforter can never support the earthily traditions or heathenism which presently characterized the church and its operations.
The Comforter must be uncompromising to the evil operations like the martyrdom of unbelievers etc. We authentically uphold that Most Senior Prophet Yahmarabhi is the appointed comforter of mankind, and he has demonstrated such through his activities on earth. He has gathered the saints of the latter days and has taught them all the sacred truths that were hidden from the face of golden light and has put the teachings into writing, what no other prophets of old did, including Yahoshea Meshiyach, who is the immortal redeemer. Yahoshea didn’t write down his doctrine, rather it was after his translation that his disciples authored his works as what is presently known as the New Testament.
But this time, the comforter, Prophet Yahmarabhi under the direction of Yahweh the Grand Creator, Yahoshea Meshiyach the saviour wrote down his teachings in the book he terms as HOLY ORIGINALLY INSPIRED SCRIPTURES (HOIS) An effort, no human being born of woman has done since after the death of the direct followers of Yahoshea Meshiyach.
