This year’s Independence Day celebration was to the former Abonnema Wharf hoodlums an opportunity to cause terror and mischief to residents of Diobu as they freely disguised themselves with masquerades to cause havoc maybe in retaliation of their eviction from Abonnema wharf waterfront.
The boys, used the day to parade in guise of masquerades to freely harm lots of unsuspecting residents of Diobu as they panicked them and collected money and inflicted pains while taking the day as a day of celebration.
Motorists were not left out as they also had their ugly share of the horrible experience. They parted with their hard earned cash while passengers too were not spared as the hoodlums were on rampage against the society in a day meant for celebration of Independence of the country.
One of the victims who spoke with The Newswriter expressed his displeasure of the actions of the hoodlums, saying the actions of the hoodlums on independence Day celebration goes on to show thestate of insecurity in the country.####
