The rampaging Falconets in this year’s FIFA U-17 Women World Cup have pledged victory to Nigerians while representing the entire country in their chase to capture the trophy.
The brilliant girls in one accord had said that they will play every match that comes their way with every amount of seriousness as if their lives depend on the games, even as they face France on Thursday, October 4, 2012.
The Nigerian girls have come of age even as no one believes in the soccer prowess of Nigeria as a soccer nation in Africa. This is due to the dwindling fortune of the country’s soccer and the technical crew together with the entire team. Nigeria may sing another victory song again at the end of the competition, like Atlanta Olympic and FIFA Japan U-17th Golden Eagles squad.
Nigeria is always a soccer power when it comes to age grade football and had demonstrated that at the world stage. As it is, the Falconets is about to repeat that feat as the matches they have played so far point to that direction.###
