NDLF Stages Rally

The Nigeria Democratic Liberty Forum (NDLF) has announced a “Free Nigeria Protest Rally” on Saturday, October 6, to mark Nigeria’s 52nd independence anniversary.
The event will take place at Nigeria House, 828 2nd Avenue in New York City, which houses the Consulate-General of Nigeria.
In a statement, Bukola Oreofe, the Executive Director of NDLF, regretted that Nigerians are on the threshold of history as a people who are blessed with what is required to make a great country but have squandered it with unbridled mindlessness.
“As the unabated spiral fall of Nigeria continues due to endemic, pervasive and unconscionable greed and corruption, it is evident that the liberation of the hapless nation lies in the hands of Nigerians to free her from the hold of incompetent, unscrupulous and heartless political leaders and their cronies,” he said.
He described Nigeria at 52 as being in a sorry state, and called on Nigerians to initiate a country-wide mass mobilization on the power of the people to effect the change they desire.
“The choice is ours to either continue to watch this horror movie of a train wreck or we organize ourselves at home and abroad to Free Nigeria,” he said.
The rally, to which all Nigerians and friends of Nigeria are invited, will start at 10am
