Doctors Without Borders Close Emergency Operations In P.H

Doctors Without Borders will be closing their operations of the emergency unit on the 4th of October 2012.
Making this declaration was the organization’s Operational Manager, Eric Jonese while speaking to the press. The selfless free service organization had delivered lots of souls since taking the task of redeeming the hopes of lots of traumatic cases in the state.
It would be recalled that by Doctors without Borders, an international humanitarian organization that operated at Teme Clinic, took the challenge to give succour to victims of rape, gunshot and those with trauma cases at will without taking, accepting any form of necessary assistance to the Rivers State government.
The international humanitarian organization has earlier stated that it is withdrawing its free medical services to the state due to the prevalence related peace that had returned to the state, positing that since the ban of motor bike “okada” victims of accident had reduced in the state giving the organization less job, hence the organization deemed it necessary to go to crisis prone states.
However, Commissioner for Health, Rivers State, Dr. Sampson Parker has appealed to residents of the state not to panic on the news of the organization’s withdrawal as free medical service of government still operates in. the state. ###
