Rumukrushi Town Council Members Mourn Late Prof. Chinda

Members of the Rumukrushi Town Council and other indigenes of the community were in a sorrowful mood when the body of Late Prof. Alex Chukwudi George Chinda, the first professor in Evo kingdom was laid to rest at his home town Rumukrushi, in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State last weekend.
Speaking when the body of Late Prof. Chinda was brought to the Rumukrushi Civic Centre, HRH. Eze Sir S.C Wokoma JP, the Paramount Ruler of Rumuorianwo Town, Rumukrushi expressed sadness that the only professor of the area has gone.
According to him, this is a sorrowful moment for the entire people of Rumukrushi town council who have enjoyed immensely the development of the community by the late professor.
Chief Wokoma who cited the scripture noted that there is a time to be born and a time to die, stressing that it is only God that knows why it happened.
In his speech, comrade Ifeanyi Nnanna the president of Rumuokrushi town council who expressed grief that the first professor of Evo kingdom and the former secretary of Rumuokrushi town council is no more described late professor Chinda as an industrious academician and an elder brother who served the community with humility noting that members of the council were in the burial ceremony to pay him their last respect.
Also in his speech Mr. John M. Chukwu a member of the town council who noted that the entire people of Rumuokrushi were in great pains and sorrows over the demise of their brother who was suddenly snatched away from them by death, describing it as a great loss to them whose vacuum cannot be easily filled.
In his sermon at the church service at the “All Saints Anglican Cathedral Church, Rumuokrushi, Rev. Canon Chukwumati urged Christians to always serve God while alive, describing the late professor as a devoted Christian and humble.
Also in his speech the eldest son of the deceased Mr. Chituga Chinda who expressed sadness over his father’s death, described his late father as a man of service who served his community well.
In a chat with journalists at the ceremony the president of the Goldashe United football Club of Port Harcourt, Warisenibo Fubara Hart who expressed shock over the demise of Late Professor Chinda described him as a nice and humble man whose vacuum cannot be filled easily.
The late professor Chinda until his death was the Dean, Faculty of Environmental Science in the Rivers State University of Science and Technology, Nkpolu Oroworukwo, Port Harcourt, and was survived by six Children.
