Rivers State Commerce And Industry Commissioner Visits Hotel Presidential…Expresses Satisfaction

The Rivers state Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Hon. Chuma Chinenye has expressed satisfaction and confidence in the operations of Hotel Presidential by the present management team.
According to him, “from what we have seen in the hotel, this management team has really worked so hard to put things in order. We have also approved a team of consortium of engineers that would work with the Hotel management for its smooth operation. It will also determine areas to be improved on”.
Hon. Chuma Chinenye made this observation during a fact finding visit to Presidential Hotel.
“We have sent a lot of officers from the ministry to inspect the hotel, but today we have come to see things for ourselves. There is still a lot more work to be done; my office will ensure a good cooperation with the present management team,” he stated.
He stressed that all hands must be on deck, both the Rivers state government and the management team, so as to make Hotel Presidential service delivery. In his words, “all we want is that Presidential Hotel should be a beacon to be recorded with in the hospitality industry, not only in Rivers state but in the South-South region”.
Also speaking during the visit of the commissioner, Mr. Rex Yakpogoro, Assistant General Manager, Hotel Presidential, said the main reason for the commissioner’s visit was to see the facilities that are in place, the ones under construction and ascertain on how we can move the hotel forward in terms of more quality service delivery”.
He called on the Rivers state government to provide low interest funds for hotels to operate, adding that when this is done, hotels will have more funds to put into the industry so as to make guests comfortable whenever they come to Rivers State. ####
