BMTA Letters To Commissioner Will Be Vigorously Tackled Says BMTA Chairman

Just after the formal election and the inauguration of executive members of the Bonny Marine Transports Association (BMTA), the incumbent chairman Hon. Israel Waribo Pepple called for immediate Exco meeting at the Bonny Local Government Area in Rivers State.
The chairman raised the vexed condition of the Bonny/Port Harcourt waterfronts of which some letters to that effect have long over stayed on the table of the Commissioner for Transport without the desired attention.
The BMTA boss assured that he will be meeting with the transport commissioner, Hon. George Fubara Tolofari for a better way out as the festive period of the year is fast approaching, pointing out that the way to and from Bonny is the said waterfront which needs urgent attention.
Pepple appealed to all users of the Bonny waterfronts to be patient as urgent step is being applied towards redredging and refurbishing of the pontoon.
In a chat with this publication in his office at Bonny, Hon. Pepple stated that BMTA has a lot of biting problems to tackle but it will handle them in stages for effective administrative procedures.
He however appealed to Bonny elites in position of authority to contribute and suggest ideas on the users of Bonny routes because that is the only way to the golden Island, stating that there is no other road network to Bonny except through the waterfront that is accessible to the average man.
The BMTA chairman appealed to the council chairman Hon. Edward E. Pepple to use his position to bring this matter before His Excellency for quick action-adding that 85% of the electorate and inhabitants of Bonny are not happy over the death trap called Bonny waterfront, Port Harcourt.
Hon. Pepple used the medium to laud the executive governor of Rivers State Rt. Hon. Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi for his developmental strides in the state.
He also commended the Bonny council chairman, Hon. (Barr.) Edward E. Pepple for his numerous initiatives and projects in Bonny Local Government Area.
He charged all those who had been opportuned to find themselves in positions of authority politically to carry others along in the scheme of things for the good interest of governance in the state and the Local Government Area respectively.
The executives include Mr. Idawari Hart, Mr. Lazarus Hart, Mr. Ada Green, Mrs. Adeline Allison, Henry Jumbo and Abinye Banigo.
The chairman charged all to work as a team to make sure peace is instilled in all aspects of the association’s activities. ###
