The International Director of the Greater Evangelism World Crusade, Apostle G.D. Numbere said his church would no longer condone indecent dressing among members henceforth.
Delivering a sermon at the end of the church week-long 40 years anniversary/ceremony on Sunday September 9, 2012, at Rukpokwu in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State, Apostle Numbere who decried indecent dressing among members especially ladies noted that the past forty years were years of grace and vowed that any woman who exposes her breast henceforth will be severely punished as well as the pastor of such lady, who will receive equal measure of punishment.
The clergyman whose topic of sermon was “Forgiveness,” said forgiving one who offends you is the only route towards receiving blessings from God.
According to him, if God is to use your work after you have repented, you have to forgive your enemies or those who offended you, any one who refuses to forgive will put himself/herself in trouble, your business will be hindered, no progress, etc. but one who forgives his enemy, God will follow such persons with blessings.
Apostle Numbere who cited Matthew Chapter 6:25, 26 advised members of his church not to pray bad against their enemies but rather, they should pray for their good and repentance asking God to forgive them.
In his address, Apostle Numbere revealed that the theme of the 40th anniversary was “As it was in the beginning” pointing out that it was also going to be the theme for the Greater Evangelism World Crusade in the 2013.
The Man of God who noted that despite all the attacks, molestations from the public for forty years God was able to sustain them thanking members who supported the ministry both morally and financially.
It would be recalled that Apostle G. D. Numbere while as a student of the University of Ife now known as Obafemi Awolowo University, was caught up in a trance/vision of March 3, 1970 where God appeared to him and made him to open his ministry in 1972.
In his speech, Pastor Reginald C. Nwachukwu, the Chairman of the 40th Anniversary Celebration Planning Committee noted that they have worked assiduously since the commencement of the programme on August 26, 2012 in the local churches worldwide to ensure the success of the celebration.
According to Nwachukwu, the 40th Anniversary, celebration was a celebration of God’s faithfulness in His words and promises to his own Apostle, the International Director, Apostle G. D. Numbere.
He thanked God for the successful celebration and members for their support.
In their separate chats with journalists Mrs. Esther Anucha, Rivers State Head of Service and Barrister Aleruchi Cookey Gam, the Administrator of the Greater Port Harcourt City, while congratulating Apostle Numbere and members of his church for the successful celebration of the 40th anniversary, recalled the divine intervention of Apostle Numbere in their families extolling the virtues of the Man of God and praying that God should continue to give him strength, wisdom, spiritual power to serve mankind.
