The Pastor of Salvation Ministries, Worldwide, Pastor David lbiyeomie has pledged the support of Okrikans in ensuring that the hand of God is bestowed on the Okrika Local Government Council for the transformation and development of the area.
Pastor David lbiyeomie made the pledge while dedicating the Okrika Council and indeed Okrika, to God at the Council Secretariat.
David lbiyeomie stated that Okrika Local Government Council has gone through a lot of challenges as peace and stability has eluded the leadership of the Council for a long time.
The Pastor of Salvation Ministries World wide gave instances on a similar case in Okrika and Ogoloma, which through the instrumentality of God’s divine grace, ensured relative peace in these towns.
He reminded the people of Okrika that God’s anger is upon the Council as there have been evil machinations done in the past and called on the people to pray for God’s forgiveness and Mercy.
Citing from the Bible text of Jonah 3:9-10, he stressed that from the circumstances of frequent changes in the leadership of the Council, it is a demonstration that something is not right in the Council.
David lbiyeomie emphasized that any one that is not ordained by God should not govern the Council, as what is required is a leader that is God-fearing and having the interest of the people at heart.
Earlier, the Acting Chairman of the Council, Dr. Godknows Tam George stated that the essence of the dedication of the council to God is to celebrate the supremacy of God in order to positively turn things around for the better, in the Council.
Dr. Godknows Tam George emphasized that, so much evil has been perpetrated in the Council, and the only solution is to dedicate the Council in order for God to intervene in the affairs of the Council.
Tam George pleaded with the leadership of the Council to understand the Supremacy of God as that is the only panacea to genuine peace and stability in the Council.
He emphasized that with the dedication of the Council, it is clear that there will be positive change in its affairs.
Tam George called on the leadership of the Council to seek the face of God first in their actions in order for them to succeed in governing the Council.
The dedication of the Council by Pastor David lbiyeomie witnessed the presence of several men of God and a large turn out of Council Management and Staff, Councilors and Okrikans who prayed and sang to the glory of God and declared permanent peace and stability in the affairs of the Council.
