Why we stick to Omehia – CRA

Members of the confident Restoration Association (CRA) has given reasons why they still stick to Sir. Celestine Omehia who was only served five months as a governor in 2007.
Sir Omehia who won the governorship election in 2007 on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, was later removed by the Supreme Court and replaced by Rt. Hon. Rotimi Amaechi rightful candidate of the party as he went through the primaries.
Speaking to The Newswriter, the secretary of the Association, Mr. Afinisidi Diri, in company of the Treasurer, Mr. Emeka Nnadi, said even in 2007, rivers people voted for sir Omehia as person and not the party PDP because of his bright credentials as a honest and hard working man, who would give Rivers State the desired development.
They said even with the few months in office, Sir. Celestine Omehia left legacies that are still visible today, including, the Eleme ring road, the Eleozu flyover, shopping mall and many others.
“The whole state saw it and wondered that in this short period of time, this man could perform such feats. That is to say that if he is given the opportunity to stay for a longer time, say fewer year, Rivers State would have been transformed. We need this type of person, not one that will promise but will not fulfill. We need somebody that can promise and within an interval or two or three weeks, you have something on the ground, they stated.
“We will stick to this man because his is the man that can transform the state. We want Omehia to come back and by the special grace of God, Omehia will come back soon and take over the mantle of leadership in this state. Despite the fact that the Supreme Court robbed him in 2007. That some Supreme Court has realized its mistake today. They said it was a party affair but in the case of Sylva Timepire Sylva and PDP, the same Supreme Court today was stated that it has no right to entertain party affairs, they went further to state.
They were visibly angry with the Supreme Court for giving contracting judgments as it does not represent the hope of the common man.
On Amaechi, they said, “Some persons may say that he is performing but for me he is not performing, considering the amount of money He has received so far and what is on ground, he is deciding Rivers People. ###
