The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Bonny LGA chapter has held the inauguration of party executives at the LGA and Ward levels respectively.
The occasion which took place at the party secretariat on the 18th of June 2012 had who is who in the PDP hierarchy at the LGA and Ward levels in attendance.
In his speech, the LGA party chairman Hon. Haniel Pepple thanked party faithfuls for turning out in large number to honor the party’s invitation. He noted that the call was to introduce and formerly inaugurate the LGA executives and those at the ward levels in the area.
The party Chief however presented 2012 Bonny LGA party congress and the election of LGA executive result sheet to members of PDP at the party secretariat for formal inauguration.
Pepple informed that the inauguration of the day was also to include excos at the ward level.
The party Chairman charged those inaugurated to be law abiding and respect the party constitution so as to promote the image of the party saying that his leadership will build a solid structure in the LGA. He stressed that for him to work effectively all hands must be on deck as that will translate into overall benefit to the party in the LGA. He noted that the party is ready to accommodate all and sundry noting that even new members are welcome.
Pepple lauded the council boss Hon. Edward E. Pepple for his numerous developmental effects in the area saying that all the LGA officers should always report to the party secretariat as the office will be open daily.
In his speech, Hon. George Fubara Tolofari, the LGA party leader commended all PDP members for the support given to the party in the area.
He charged all elected and inaugurated exco members to live up to expectations in order to move the party forward. The party leader who is also a commissioner in Amaechi’s administration Comm. For Transport, assured that PDP as a family will ever remain in unity, noting that every large family will always have issues bordering on misunderstanding, but stressed that at the end such problems foster unity.
The leader charged the LGA party chief to carry along all party faithfuls in the scheme of things as that would benefit the LGA immensely. He promised that all those who by one way or another left the party that PDP will be ready to absorb them back emphasizing that the mission of PDP this time was to encourage oneness in the LGA.
Responding to questions from newsmen, Tolofari noted that Bonny waterfront in Port Harcourt as a project will soon be put in place arrangements he said had been concluded at the state level towards rebuilding it.
The commissioner praised party faithfuls for supporting the council boss Hon. Edward Pepple in his effort in the area. He charged the council boss to carry everybody in the LGA along.
He reminded the newly sworn in party excos of the need to work as a team for the interest of the party.
In his remarks, the council chairman Hon. Edward E. Pepple used the opportunity to thank the entire party members and the electorate for his re-election as the LGA, promising to do his best to satisfy the electorate in the area.
Among other important dignitaries who graced the occasion was Hon. Aye A. Pepple of the Rivers State House of Assembly. ###
