Arch Bishop of Foundation Faith Churches Worldwide, Dr. Sam Amaga, has declared a decade of consolidation and establishment, as the church clocks 24 years in existence.
The event took place from June 22-23, 2012, at its pioneer Headquarters, Foundation Faith Church, Rumuomasi, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria.
He spoke at the Holy convocation of its Leaders, made up of array of Bishops, led by his wife, Bishop Dr. (Mrs.) Love Sam-Amaga and other prominent ministers as well as members of the congregation of the church, who came from within and overseas.
The Cleric stated that he prompted the 2-day meeting, which was spiced with an Apostolic anointing and geared towards sensitizing its leaders to prepare them to enter what he called the “new era of consolidation and establishment” and to benefit from the Glory of God.
He warned that to enter this new phase, leaders should position themselves to receive from God, the Glory made available to them.
The Arch Bishop delved into history, in an attempt to connect the past with the future, stating that at the outset of the Commission, God had instructed him to fulfill the four pillars of the ministry, which included establishment of churches, media, educational institutions both at the tertiary and lower levels as well as a publication outfit.
He was happy to announce that over these 24years of the existence of the Commission he was able to accomplish the aforementioned.
Drawing copiously from the following Biblical passages: Isaiah 40:1-5, 14: 4, Psalm 76:2,3, John 15:7 and I Corinthians 3:1-8, the Cleric further reiterated that with the new phase, evil days, struggling without results, sins, unbelief and disobedience are all over, saying that it was the Biblical message of Prophet Isaiah that he came to deliver to the leaders.
He also took the occasion to warn that to be able to transit to the new era, believers need to divulge themselves of the old man, that is carnality, being controlled by their sinful desires, being jealous of one another, quarreling with each other and forming cliques to destabilize the churches etc.
Emphasizing that as long as the aforementioned bad habits were still there, it means that one is not really born again and the consequence is that the Glory of God would elude that person.
The Cleric advised the congregation of believers present to also key into the wealth of knowledge of the seasoned ministers that the Commission is blessed with in this new phase, to be able to benefit from the word of God, optimally.
Turning to the entire leadership of the church, the man of God warned that he will not tolerate laxity on the part of anyone in carrying out their duties. He asked them to live above board if they wish to aspire to lead others.
The high point of the programme was the impartation and prayer offered by the Arch Bishop with respect to every one present. ##
