Nigeria striker Yakubu Aiyegbeni could earn 100,000 pounds a week at Chinese Super League club Guangzhou R&F, according to reports.
The rich Chinese are believed to be in talks with the Nigeria striker over a possible switch from relegated English Premier League side Blackburn Rovers.
They are proposing a two-year deal for the bulky forward, who is presently on holidays in Lagos.
At the advanced age of 29, ‘The Yak’ will now want to cash in on a big pay day before he hangs his boots.
According to a Daily Mail report, Yakubu, who was outstanding last season scoring 17 goals in the English top flight, has a £ 1 million clause to leave Blackburn if relegated, which he has said he will exploit.
Several clubs including West Ham United, Guan Beijing and Shanghai Shenhua are interested in the Nigeria international, who has featured for Everton, Portsmouth and Middlesbrough.
