Kudos to His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, the Executive Governor of Rivers State, Hon. John Anucha, the Executive Chairman, Omuma L.G.A and the entire good people of Omuma land for their support and commitment, by embracing the new dawn in the political and social development of the LGA, as provided by the government of the day, in the areas of security of lives and property amongst others, tranquility has become the order of the day.
The recent Children’s Day celebration in Omuma LGA, was the evidences the tranquil atmosphere in Omuma land has provided, particularly for the children in the Council, to have joined their counterparts all over the country in celebration of the year’s Children Day which has eluded them for quite some time.
Due to this, the people of Omuma LGA has commended Hon. John Anucha highly for his doggedness in provision of electricity supply, construction of roads, youths empowerment, provision of hospitable accommodation for indigenes and would-be visitors in the area.
The recent visit of Mrs. Uche Anucha, wife of the Executive Chairman of Omuma LGA, Rivers State, to the family of Mr. & Mrs. Nwamadi of Ward 7 in Umueze Village, Omuma LGA, on the 28th of May, 2012 was an indication of the passion that she has for every Omuma woman and perhaps a fulfillment, that “behind every successful man, there must be a woman”..
She visited to congratulate Mrs. Chinwendu Nwamadi over the gift of the triplets, to their family, Umueze-village and Omuma in general; where she said: “we really appreciate the good work of God in our lives”.
Her gesture was seen as a welcome development by the people of Umueze-Omuma, as her passion for the people of Omuma is a replica of the unalloyed support that she has provided and will continue to provide to her husband, Hon. John Anucha, which indeed has metamorphosed into the level of achievement of Hon. Anucha’s strive.
She noted in her speech at the Children’s Day Party held at the Council Headquarters, “Dear Children of Omuma land, it is with gratitude to God Almighty father, that I stand here today to host you, wonderful and future leaders of our LGA, our state and our country Nigeria, to this year’s Children’s Day Celebration/Party. It gladdens my heart each time I am opportuned to reach out to you, my dear little ones, to interact with you and give you a sense of belonging in your father land”.
Mrs. Uche, a woman of little words but full of compassion, used the occasion of the Children’s Day celebration/party to present books to the participated schools and best children dancers at the party. She urged them to work harder in order to have more of the items which were the good gesture from her husband to them.
She further, encouraged the children to shun cultism and examination malpractices, remain focused at all times and read their books, to respect elders, be serious with school works and to engage themselves in activities that will glorify God.
The commitment and enthusiasm that were exhibited by the children of Omuma LGA, at the State School, Eberi-Omuma, was a herald of good things and fan-fare that the people of Omuma land will continue to experience and enjoy in their father land, through the good governance of Hon. Anucha and the unflinching support of his beautiful and easy-going Uche, his wife, many who spoke to The Newswriter, noted.#
