Why the white wedding does not suit the African society
In the last edition of the Soul Mate we treated part of wedding and went on to highlight the ideal marriage rite for man and woman on earth. In this edition just as promised we will also touch the issue, stating the reason why the white wedding or English wedding does not suit African setting in terms of marriage.
After carefully taking stock with the whole issue, Soul Mate can authoritatively come up with the statement that it is madness.
For instance, those going into white wedding sometimes do not even have a car. This means that they have to borrow from either a friend or a relative, or sometimes hired.
This, for goodness sake, is a waste of money and time which raises lots of embarrassing questions. Though those who are involved in this type of marriage do not care to know what happened at their back, since they are following the popular train of people who have taken to this borrowed marriage rite from the white man.
The big question is, after the marriage (wedding) rites what happened to the car? Returned to the owner. This itself is a direct personal insult to the couple because you are expected to drive that same car in which you rode on the day of your wedding.
This shows that you are an impostor, claiming who you are not before the public. But in the African traditional marriage rite, you were introduced as you are and that is all. You are not compelled to borrow either coat or car, or any other item to perform the marriage rite.
You could still be allowed to marry even as you are pregnant before the marriage rite proper. This will be kicked against by decent churches who know the tenets of the scriptures.
Please be serious with this portion of the Bible. Once you have known a lady carnally, either pregnant or not, you are compelled by the divine law of creation instituted by Yahweh to marry her whether you are ready or not. Hence, sometimes African marriages do not cost much, based on the circumstances the marriage was contracted. This is a biblical injunction. This was kicked against by the whites who claimed to be practicing the scriptures, Deut. 22:29. From the scripture, if you look at it, it is the Africans that are upholding the tenets of the scriptures.
After the wedding proper you fall back to your real self who does not change anything from the Africa marriage but this is a shape difference from the white wedding as the car will not be seen from you, the dressing also reveal who real you are after the wedding as you go back to your real self in real life in white wedding.
