JOHN THE ATTACKER

For a moment he went dry
Like a tree he sprang up
Just like the winter flower
Forgotten was he, when the goals
Are not coming
Such is the life of a player
Known historic anti-climax
No one soul cares to add
To the shining skill once known
But you must maintain
That which was established
Once recognized expected you
Keep it for use of the nation
When needed
John the attacker never gives up
Even in goal drought situation
But for his perseverance
He could have not been reckoned
In Nigerian football again
They say once a player
Remain a player
The attackers are most appreciated
Because they claim the game
That is why when attacker
Goes goal drought, forget him,
For he has passed his usefulness
Thus happened to all players
In clubsides and countries globally
Where are the attackers of Nigeria?
John the attacker answers
With goals in his clubsides
Nigeria has lots of attackers
All over the world
Do we still remember them
Victor Agali, Julius Aghawonder
Amongst them John the attacker
Answers with goals
Nigeria needs the attacker John the attacker is call up
For Nigeria to feel his goals
In Nigeria colours
