It was alleged that job seekers into the Delta State Civil Service were made to part with a whooping sum of about N.8m to secure employment.
No doubt, the stakes are high considering the few vacancies available for employment and the scores of unemployment youths from Delta State, seeking the white collar job.
However, several residents of Asaba condemned the alleged bribery Scandal for employment.
They called for thorough investigation into the alleged act of the Delta State Civil Service, urging that all those involved should be visited with commensurate sanction, if found liable.
Others called on the Delta State House of Assembly to wade into the matter.
Meanwhile, the Delta State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan has suspended employment into Delta State Civil service, to enable thorough investigation into the alleged bribery scandal rocking the service. ###
