PDP Executive Charged To Return Aggrieved Party Members

The newly inaugurated Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) executive members in Rivers State have been charged to bring back aggrieved party members who lost elections.
Addressing the newly inaugurated executive members in Rivers State at the party secretariat, Aba Road, Port Harcourt, the National Vice Chairman, south south zone of the party, Dr. Steven Orusa, noted that there was need to call the aggrieved members back to the party because the umbrella is large enough to accommodate them and for them to make their contributions and inputs where necessary to move the party forward.
He assured the aggrieved party members of assistance as well as overhauling of the party leaders and infrastructural frame work that will upgrade the party ahead of other parties in the federation.
He congratulated Chief G.U. Ake for his re-election, stressing that he has proved to be an accomplished good leader and charged him to replicate the good work he did in his first tenure as the PDP party chairman in Rivers State in his second missionary journey.
The PDP party chieftain commended governor Amaechi as a visionary leader who has performed creditably in all sectors and also congratulated other members of the executive of the PDP in Rivers State.
In his speech, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, the governor of Rivers State who was represented by Hon. Tony Okocha, the chief pf staff, Government House, congratulated Chief G. U Ake and others, wishing them well in their new assignments and advised them to work as a team to move the party forward.
Rt. Hon. Otelemaba Dan Amachree, the Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly also congratulated the new executives, adding that members of the state House of assembly deemed it necessary to come and show solidarity as well as celebrate with them, believing that they would have fruitful tenure.
Earlier in his speech, the Rivers PDP organizing secretary who noted that the P[DP has performed creditably for the past ten years, assured that the party under the leadership of G.U Ake will perform more better.
In his remarks, Chief G.U. Ake who commended chairman of the LGA for honouring the invitation of the executive, noted that the new executive was lucky to have 50% of the past executives.
He assured that they would work harder than the previous administration to ensure that the party remains peaceful, united, faithful, without factions in the state. “We will ensure respect, love for one another and work with the executive committee to do what is expected of them,” he added.
In a chat with journalists shortly after the inauguration, Dr. Michael Mpia, the assistant secretary 1 of the party, said he has been in the party for the past twenty years, noting that his achievements were numerous and that he has brought up leaders in Eleme such as Hon. Nleji, the former commissioner for culture and tourism, Hon. Oji Ngofa the chairman of Eleme LGA, among others who have performed creditably in their endeavours.
He described chief G.U. Ake as a father whose interest was to unite members of the party and build the party to a greater height, assuring that he would live up to expectation in his new assignment. ###
