NUJ Vice President Aspirant Assures Good Representation

A Vice President, Zone F,. South-South Aspirant in the forthcoming Abuja Nigera Union of Journalists, NUJ, national election slated for May 26 2012, Mr. Uzaka U.S.A. has assured members of the union in the zone of good representation.
Addressing a cross section of journalists in Port Harcourt, Mr. Uzaka who said he was in Port Harcourt to solicit for the support of members of Rivers State Council of NUJ in the forthcoming NUJ Delegates conference in Abuja, assured protection of members of the union in the zone as well as give them what is due for them, if elected.
Mr. Uzaka who was the former coordinator of chairmen of NUJ council in the federation as well as the chairman of Information chapel in Bayelsa council of NUJ, described his visit to Rivers State as a home coming and not a mistake, recalling how he started his professional career in Rivers State before moving to Bayelsa State due to developments, promising to ensure that people respect the profession and make them proud of journalists in the zone.
Mr. Uzaka whose slogan is, “Catalyst for change, for integrity, responsible and visionary leadership,” noted that a vote for him is a vote for truth and justice.
Mr. Uzaka who assured that he would not let them down, adding that his achievements as Bayelsa state information chapel chairman, such as donation of two buses to Bayelsa council of NUJ, fight against quackery in the union, ensure unity among journalists, among others.
His agenda for the union members in the south south zone F if elected includes, donation of bus for the zone, fight against quackery, ensure unity among NAWAJ and NUJ in the zone, ICT training of journalists, setting of media taskforce in all the councils of NUJ in the zone and carrying every one along in the scheme of things. ###
