The Managing Director of I. Conntact-Connet Communication and Connexx Resources Mr. Larry-Godwin Akuitoba Ajiola has described the two days workshop tagged” Pitaagua Cooperative Workshop as successful and beneficial to all those who attended the workshop.
The workshop which was held at the Ministry of Justice Hall, Secretariat, Port Harcourt on Wednesday April, 25th 2012. The 2 day workshop which drew members of different cooperatives in Rivers State was organized to educate members on the new trend in corporative business and to help them in understanding their business rules and the way forward. According to the organizer of the programme Mr. Ajiola those who attended the program were trained by Professional in their different business endeavor.
The Managing Director of I. Conntact-Connect Communication and Conneo Resources said the aim of the workshop was to share experience from the resource persons and also to synergies on business possibilities and prospect to better the lives of members.
Mr. Ajiola positioned that the workshop is a continues excise to always increase the knowledge and shaping the ideas of those in the cooperative business world and to link them to other of business partners all over the world. The soft spoken business Mogul told journalist shortly after the program that in the future the training and workshop will be free that their organization is seeking Support from government and cooperate organizations to help in making the workshop a reality. He pledged to partner with the local government service commission.
He has visited 13 local government councils in preparation to the said workshop Mr. Larry Goodwill said other workshop will be geared towards the youths in the state and appeal to youths to avail themselves when the time comes.
In his keynote address, the Director of Cooperation, Rivers State Ministry of Commerce and Industry said the ministry since inception has continue to deliver positive impact on the economy of Rivers people, with the support given to organizations. The Ministry positioned that they will continue to support viable ideas that will effectively transform cooperator while thanking the bold step taking by I. Conntact-Connect Communication and Connexx Resources. Highlight of the event was the paper presentation by the Central Bank of Nigeria on “ the Regulatory Structure and imitation in Nigeria Financial Sector, benefits to cooperations by Nseobong E. Akpan others are the principles and values of cooperative in nation building by Chief A.U. Okere.
There was paper presentation by the Export Promotion Council on the way cooperatives can export their goods and services. The Izederal Montage Bank also explained a programe for housing scheme by the Bank.
The Board on Internal Revenue, the International Labour Organization, Federal Government Agencies like SMEDAN and NEPC were part of the success story. The workshops also have interactive session with question and answer and motivational speakers with network by participants.
It could be recalled that Mr. Larry-Goodwill have organized several workshop and seminars which include Entrepreneur Business Summit 2010.
