S/S Prayer Warriors’ Conference Ends In Port Harcourt… As Rev. Jumbo Receives League Of Character Award

A one day annual south-south zonal prayer warriors conference with the theme, “Violence Shall No More Be Heard In Thy Land, Wasting Nor Destruction Within Thy Borders But Thou Shall Call Thy Walls Salvation And Thy Gates Praise,” has ended in Port Harcourt with a call on Nigerians to embrace God.
In a chat with journalists during the conference at the ministry of Justice Secretariat complex, Port Harcourt, Rev. Godswill E.D. Jumbo JP, the General Overseer of EndTime Prophetic Prayer Network Prayer Mobilization Ministries, the Chief Host, recalled the calamities perpetrated by ungodly activities, greed, selfishness, among Nigerians, especially Boko Haram sect, which has destroyed many souls and properties worth of millions of naira. He said the conference was held to condemn outright such activities and enthrone a united Nigeria, with progress, love for one another, oneness, which would go a long way to move it forward.
According to him, “I was motivated by the passion I have for Nigerians just as Christ died for us to save mankind, to achieve a united Nigeria devoid of greed and selfishness and to condemn outright the activities of Boko Haram.”
The clergy who attributed the ugly scenario in the country to Nigerians for their inability to accept Christ as their lord and personal Saviour, urged Nigerians to embrace God and follow his path to achieve their desire.
Rev. Jumbo used the occasion on behalf of the members of EndTime Prayer Network Prophetic Ministry expressed his profound gratitude to God for his blessings and thanked all who made the occasion a reality.
In his sermon Rev. E. O. Ibe, JP, who cited Timothy Chapter 2:15, attributed Nigeria’s woes to their inability to sacrifice themselves to God.
According to him, “Most Nigerians do not follow Gods principles, they behave anyhow. If they work in line with the scriptures and follow God’s footsteps, there will be better Nigeria.” Rev. Ibe called on Nigerians to change their ways and come closer to God.
In his speech, the Bishop elect, Bishop Bede Obiekwe, described Rev. Godswill Jumbo as a wonderful man, a man of faith, committed who take God seriously. He recalled that he has known him years ago when he was with Bishop Friday Nwator and enjoined Nigerians to commit themselves to God, live a good life, to receive God’s blessing.
Rev. Jumbo was presented an award by the Nigerian League of Character Club during the occasion.
Presenting the award to him, the president of the club, Rivers State chapter, character Christian Kokoriko, said the award was given to him for his contributions towards evangelism, upliftment of God’s work, promotion of peaceful co-existence among Nigerians and conversion of Nigerians into Christianity which has enthroned peace in the country, adding that the award was to encourage him to do more.
Rev. Jumbo thanked the president and the entire members of the Character Club, noting that the award would spur him to do more and assured that he would not relent in his desire to encourage Christianity and peaceful co-existence among Nigerians.
The prayer segments at the conference includes prayers for the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, senate president, members of the Senate, Speaker, House of Representatives/members, governors south-south zone, Governors Forum, development in south-south zone, those in authorities, among others.
Personalities at the conference include, Senator Magnus Abe, the senator representing Rivers South East Senatorial District who was represented by Hon. Legbosi Nwidadah, member representing Khana Constituency 1 in the Rivers State House of Assembly, among others. ###
