A re-dedication service of the State Civil Service Commission has ended in Port Harcourt with an assurance of ensuring efficiency and effectiveness to duty.
Speaking at the occasion, the Chairman of the Commission, Sir Ngo Martyns-Yellowe said it was necessary to appreciate God Almighty for the commitment to duty displayed by the staff and the improvements so far recorded in the Commission.
He declared “the essence of this gathering is to thank God for keeping us alive”.
In his exhortation titled “The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me” Pastor Bobari Biragbara of Deeper life Bible Church, Town Group District, said God has a purpose for our lives.
Quoting from various portions of the Bible, Pastor Bobari charged the Commission to identify and kill the Goliath in the peoples’ lives, and concluded with the book of Job which says “I know my redeemer I iveth”.
In his vote of thanks, the Permanent Secretary of the Commission Evangelist Eddy Oloko said the management will not fail in its responsibility and urged the workers to be above board.
