Bayelsa State has formerly set up a committee that will get the state a befitting international golf course for golfers in that state.
Former military administrator of old Rivers State and Amanyanabo of Twon Brass, Rtd commander King Alfred Diete Spiff is the chairman of the committee while former Federal House of Representative member, Hon. Michael Youpele Kalango is to serve as secretary of the committee. Both men are golfers from the state.
For Kalango, he just won a one day golf championship organized to honour one of the seasoned golfers at Port Harcourt golf club 1928 last week.
King Diete Spiff represents golf despite being an elder stateman, even at his old age he still plays the game like someone who is just starting the game.
This development will see the light of the day considering the caliber of men involved in the building programme.
The Newswriter sports desk could only wish the noble men the best of luck to accomplish their task successfully in good time. ###
