Hon. Pronen Tasks PDP Members To Be Pro-Active … As Justin Kobani Advises Party Officials To Be Committed

The House of Representatives member representing Khana/Gokana constituency, Hon. Moris Pronen, has tasked the Peoples Democratic Party members in the three wards of Bodo City to be more proactive and committed than ever before.
Hon. Pronen gave the charge during the introduction of PDP ward executive members of the three wards at the Bodo City Primary School 3 Bodo, in Gokana Local Government Area of Rivers State on Sunday April 1, 2012.
The meeting which gathered the elders, youths and women of the various wards was well attended as issues concerning the party’s progress were brought to the front-burner.
The Representative disclosed that the official introduction of ward executive of PDP was a forum used to openly showcase the people they elected during the just concluded ward congress.
Hon. Moris said those elected to serve should work hard because they were elected to serve the party at the ward level and their duty is to reach out to other aggrieved members and woo them to the party without waiting for only election time.
He advised the ward exco to use the available sources of knowledge, wisdom and understanding to recruit more members into the family of the ruling party, noting that growth is key to any party especially now that they have been voted to represent the party at the grassroots.
The Hon. member of the House of Representatives stated that on a later date the party will welcome and honour them specially.
He promised that some of those who are not elected into offices will be assisted to spread the democratic dividends to others, saying some women and youths will be financially positioned in their business endeavour and gone are those days when politicians make promises and will not fulfill but resolve that before July 2012 some set of youths and women will benefit from the party as part of their commitment.
The soft spoken politician told the members to henceforth take party affairs serious. Also speaking the former Chief of Staff Gokana local government council. Hon. Justine Naata Kobani advised the new ward executive to play by the rules of the party, saying the party is greater than any individual and party decision supersede individual one said that Hon. Kobani they should live above board and extinguish selfishness, greediness but be open minded to accommodate others in the party. He promised to do everything possible to keep the party together.
Earlier, Chief Pricilla Vikue had thanked the Hon. Member representing Khana/Gokana constituency for his encouragement given to the three wards in Bodo.
She express concern that party executive should always bring people together instead of dividing the people and should not engage in any act of sabotage especially during election so that the party can reward those who work for the progress of the party.
Chief Vikue positioned that now that one of our son is in government we should support him, lamenting that in the past Bodo was ostracized politically but now we are happy that we are united for a purpose.
Commenting, a former Bodo ward one chairman Mr. Lebari Agara had on behalf of the Apostolic Levites thank Hon. Pronen on the election of others especially Mr. Bariduanen Bakel other who grace the occasion are Hon. Livinus Kiebel former chairman Gokana LGA, Hon.
