DEVELOPMENT IN SCHOOL INTRODUCTION
Site 2: Metal Dump: This Site is for non-incinerable metallic solid waste such as food tins, disused iron beds and their parts pipes etc. this aspect of sorting can be done with the aid of a ferromagnetic instrument operated by a small generator.
ie metallic solid waste gathered in the dump are crushed into a Lageable lot using a metal crusher they can later be solid off as Lps for recycling. The revenue generated could be used as part of for the sorters.
3: Trenches (Excavated area): This site is for biodegradable waste these comprise paper books, discarded clothing, food stes, a trench is created where they are gathered and covered with soil to initiate decomposition by generated heat. For an effective operation of site thee, one has to be well informed about the properties of soil and its chemical system principles with respect to solid waste disposal land application.
Site 4: land farming: Land farming is useful for institutions with large land areas such as some tertiary institution. An area of land designated for waste disposal and management is divided into plots by deep trenches. Solid wastes from domestic septage cafeteria left over and spoilage discarded clothing, rags sludge clearing tanks gutter clearing sorted into this group. The plots are numbered and deposition on each numbered plot is made with respect to time. The whole area is fenced off with wire nets Deposits are covered with light soil and allowed to degrade the plots are harvested and solid as organic manure, techniques for operating root for comprise land farming (Battelle 1974). #####
