Senator Ake, Dr. Parker, Commend South-South Congress Of PDP

Senator Wilson Ake representing Rivers West senatorial District and chairman Senate Committee on Employment, labour and productivity, said the election of the zonal executive members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was very successful.
The Senator dropped the hint during an interview with the press shortly after the congress on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at the Civic Centre, Moscow road, Port Harcourt.
Senator Ake noted that the congress did not record any disharmony, obstruction or crises while the congress lasted, adding that there was no discord among members during the event.
The chairman senator committee on employment, labour and productivity said the South South zonal congress of PDP was well organized.
Asked whether there will be complains from the congress, senator Ake said he did not think so, because everything worked smoothly, saying the zone was well organized.
He stated that the leadership of the zone are very responsible people whose opinions are also respected by the people and therefore, did not anticipate any complain.
On those who night lose out of the zonal election, he advised that any person who has intention of winning any of the positions in the exco but loses, should take it in good faith, because in democracy if you are not there today you might be there tomorrow.
Also speaking, the commissioner for Health, Rivers state, Dr. Sampson Parker, described the election as free, fair and peaceful which is usual with all PDP congress.
Stating further on the election, Dr. Parker said, PDP as a big family will also show love, unity and exhibit distinct behaviour to show that everybody that is a member of the Peoples Democratic Party are of one indivisible family.
If would be recalled that the South South zonal congress of PDP attracted the governor of Cross Rivers State, senator Liyel Emoke, Governor Godspower Emmanuel Uduaghan and the host governor, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Amaechi of Rivers State.
Also in attendance were Chief Tony Anenih member Board of trustee PPD and other party stalwarts. ###
