The chairman of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Rivers State Chapter, Opaka Dokubo, has picked form for re-election, as the council’s election draws near.
Opaka Dokubo, speaking to the Newswriter News desk on why he picked the form for re-election, said he picked the form for re-election in the office to consolidate on his achievements in his first tenure.
Charismatic as he looks, he revealed that his second tenure will be a blessing to all practicing journalists in the state irrespective of tribe or media house in the state.
The ebullient, jovial NUJ boss has always been helpful to all journalists in the state. According to him, “I have so made myself a servant to you all, and need the cooperation of all journalists in the state so that we can together build one indivisible family, we can call our home.
“I have always operated an open door policy even in my first tenure and my coming on board will even be much more better in both services and individual personal relationship with journalists.”
In another development the scribe of The Newswriter chapel of the NUJ, Emeka Jilly Ejiowhor, has also picked form to run for the position of Auditor in the NUJ state forth coming election. ###
