Solution to the security threat by the Islamic sect “Boko Haram” appears to be insight.
According to the General Overseer of Favour of Anointing Ministry, 74A Ojoto Street, Mile 3 Diobu, Port Harcourt, Prophet Victory Ibe while briefing the press during his three day programme tagged “Not all heads can be used for sacrifice,” the solution to the threat lies in the children of God uniting in prayers against the hydra headed monster. He said the powers of prayers are unlimited and that as God did not disappoint the Israelites.
At the thanksgiving service the following day at St. Paul Anglican Church, Aluu, Pastor (Mrs.) Naomi Ogunka declared that heaven should be the goal of every Christian. She admonished mothers to be honest and submissive to their husbands and God almighty in order to get their heart desires.
While advising the mothers for a good upbringing of their children she also urged the children to always listen to their parents advice as they would always want the best for their children.
Later the vicar of the Parish, Rev. O. Okechukwu consecrated the Wegwu family and charged Chief Wilberforce Wegwu to always rule his people with the fear of God to attract more blessings from Him.
He said even when all hopes were lost at the read sea, the Israelites were delivered, so He will surmount all the threats of the Boko Haram sect.
The 12 years old man of God made it known that the insurgence is for a divine purpose to the advantage of the country at last. Quoting from the holy book he assured “the Egyptians we see today we shall see no more.”
On the theme of his programme, the prophet said it was used to emphasize that even in the midst of danger not everybody will be victims, assuming that members of his ministry are exempted in all machinations of the enemies because they have a covenant with God against untimely deaths and ritualists.
On his major challenge since a year ago he was called by God, Prophet Ibe said evil arrows and attack, from some of his fellowmen of God out of jealously as well as financial handicaps for expansion, are some of his challenges.
On the church’s major achievements, he listed them to include breakthroughs in all human endeavours. “We have also gotten a landed property and a car, all through members of whom God has favoured in life through our consistent prayers.
The J.S.S 3 student of Acumen Secondary Schools, Diobu Port Harcourt, used the opportunity to advise Christians to be steadfast and spiritually ready for the service of God.
He assured that despite anything Nigeria will remain one and indivisible blessed country, adding that anybody planning evil or causing trouble should think twice as “we don’t have any other country we can call our own.”
While appreciating the propagation of the gospel, Prophet Ibe said proliferation of churches was wrong as it tends to breed greed, envy and jealously among ministers of God. He rather advised them to work in synergy to the glory of God.
Asked to comment on government-churches relationship, the young G.O. said it was very cordial but appealed for assistance from government for the propagation of God’s work.
On the appraisal of the state Chief Executive, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, he stated that the governor has been trying his best as a young man who he noted is in a hurry to develop his state, adding that he needed all the supports and encouragement from the citizenry.
Prophet Ibe appealed to Amaechi to shift attention to human capital development as well as a deliberate empowerment of the populace and also to ensure the continuity of some of his good policies and programmes by institutionalizing them. ####
