Port Harcourt home boy and former Nigeria Super Eagles defender, Yenemi Furo has established a football academy in Port Harcourt.
Speaking to the players in his first day of screening at Elekahia Liberation Stadium, Furo hinted the players between the ages of 12 – 21 who took part in the training (screening) exercise that he is doing what he is doing to help talented footballer in age grade football to play in Europe.
He assured the players that from the Academy he will pick a team which will tour European club sides, pointing out that four players will be sponsored by him to have European clubsides.
Furo made this promise to the players as a way of demonstrating his seriousness to lift extremely talented footballers to have their ambitions being fulfilled in Europe like him.
Already the screening exercise is on going at Elekahia Liberation Stadium.
