Wakirike Students Charged

The Chairman of Okrika Local Government Council, Barr. Tamuno Williams has charged Wakirike Students to be proactive in articulating development issues that will help in moving the LGA forward.
Barr. Williams gave the charge recently while addressing the new executive of Wakirike Students Union who paid him a courtesy visit in his office at the Council Secretariat.
According to him, he would change the fortunes of students from Okrika as their valuable contributions would help in the transformation of the LGA.
He disclosed that the Finance and General purpose committee of the Council has approved the immediate payment of monthly imprest to the executive body of the union, adding that approval for the purchase of a bus for the union has also been given.
Barr. Tamuno urged the union to have confidence in him as he is poised to tackle any problem bordering on their welfare.
Responding, the new President of Wakirike students union, Mr. Jeremiah Boma commended the council Chairman for his achievements so far in the transformation and development of the LGA.
The Union leader pledged their unalloyed support to the council Chairman and promised to work with him to move the LGA forward. ###
