“Your Excellency, I must take notice of the political, judicial and social indices of your performance in Rivers Sate. What you are doing in Rivers State has not been seen before. I want to use this opportunity to say thank you and do not relent,” he stated.
Gov. Okorocha also commended the Rivers State Chief Executive for his contributions to ensure that late Igbo leader, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu was given a befitting burial.
Okorocha said Imo and Rivers State would ensure that they co-exist, as they share close values and boundary. He made it clear that they would work closely towards ensuring that the two states become one in terms of road connections as well as other activities.
On his part, Gov. Amaechi assured his Imo State counterpart that he would join efforts with him for the common benefit of the people of the two states.
Gov. Amaechi also pledged his administration’s support to those doing business in the state.
He also used the opportunity to reciprocate the commendation on him by Okorocha.
“Let me say to you people of Imo here in Rivers state that your governor is doing very well. He is one of our good and performing governors in the Governor’s Forum and a forward looking governor’, adding that the best the people of Imo state can do is to support him, be loyal and ensure that you are law abiding as a people.
