SUNDAY OR SABBATH (SATURDAY) WHICH THE SCRIPTURES SUPPORT?

Religion is the hope and shaper of our total faith in our existence; it is for this reason that it becomes very important to do only what is approved for us to attain salvation scripturally.
More importantly, the scripture is our guide to salvation in all standards. If we must take stock of our life importantly its then right for us to follow strictly what we are instructed in the scriptures. Here we could lay our hands mainly on the bible, believed to be the constitution of every believer existing on earth. Anything more than that is considered to be working against the principle of life in attaining salvation. Hence the question, Sunday or Sabbath (Saturday called by man) which the scripture support. In unfolding the truth, we will strictly look at the scriptures (the Bible) in totality. If we are ready, let’s go into the scriptures to find out which one the scriptures support.
Sunday, popularly has become the favoured worship day to majority of Christians (believers all over the world.) But what did the scriptures say? Please help me to read Exodus 20; Verse 8. This scripture carries strong emphases from the creator whose personal sacred named is Yahweh (God) who we professed to be worshipping. If indeed we are worshipping Yahweh why not obey His instructions?
Remember the day of worship is of great importance to both the Grand creator Yahweh and we his creatures for the fact that it is a binding bond between we His children and Him our creator.
Again, it carries lot of weighing penalties with a promise (read Ex. 31:13-16). It is an everlasting covenant between Yahweh and man as it is. Besides do we have right even to dictate for Yahweh the day we His children will worship Him? That amounts to serious disobedience that should be viewed as death itself. It simply means that we do not belong to His family.
Whatever Yahweh do with man, He has the interest of man at heart. Just look at the way He explains it, Ex. 20:11 -for in six days the Lord made Heaven and Earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day, wherefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day, and hallowed it-
The interest of man is always Yahweh’s concern. He worked with six days and rested; hence you should always look and rest with him that day of rest. In other words, let’s come together and make merry. Let me hear from you the testimonies and thanksgiving from you, in doing that. You will be blessed for being obedient to your creator. Also you will be given strength to continue the following week from the strength you have lost. All these amount to the way he cares about us.
In all His engagements with men, Sunday (the first day of the week) has never had even one mention as a day of worship as Christianity has demonstrated. Could you please look into the scripture of Mark 16: 1-2 also see 1corinthians 16:2. Saint Paul admonished the Corinthians to rather work on the first day as to keep money aside for the week instead of gathering in respect of the collection money for those preaching the gospel.
Sunday is the first day of the week and that makes it not the seventh day of the week. In that wise we ought not to challenge the command or instruction of Yahweh, doing that only means disobedience of the higher order, which will only attract punishment to us.
It is our place to obey Yahweh to attract blessings into our life. There is no place in the bible that supported Sunday as the seventh day. The scripture is in abundance to clear this uncompromising fact. We only do things as it suits us. Worship is an important aspect of able believers signifying loyalty and obedience to Yahweh our maker. But if we do no obey Yahweh is it man that we will obey? Remember the encounter of Peter with officers of the government of the Jerusalem of the day. Read Acts 5:28-29. We all know what happened thereafter, that what Yahweh assures us in obeying His command and instruction.
Though it is not supported by the scripture, yet Sunday worship has taken the place of the seventh day (Sabbath) called Saturday by man, the confusion of religion at all ages. One other annoying fact about believer, even as the scriptures are open for studies, no one is interested to point out the mistakes done on to the Christianity faith by the so-called learned men of the age.
Who authorized Sunday as the seventh day of the week? Sadly enough it was the then temporary Roman named Emperor Constantine who was not in any way a scriptural man. But for the fact that he happens to be the King of the Roman empire he used the privilege of a king to influence the church to covert Sunday worship to replace Sabbath (Saturday) worship. It does not have any ordinary man’s idea, it does not have any scriptural backing from any quarters. That is why any Christian that is worshipping on Sunday is directly challenging Yahweh’s commandment (Ex. 20:8). The scriptures alone give command and instruction to the faithful believer to act out righteousness.
Yahoshea Meshiyach said, by their fruits you shall know them and instructed us that if we know the truth we shall be free from all forms of ignorance and condemnations. These who worship on Sunday or law breaker and have no place in eternity according to the law, no more no less.
