Keshi home based Eagles have shown class as to buy the mind of Stephen Keshi against the favoured foreign based Eagles. This became a reality when the Eagles featured against their counterpart in Kigali in Rwanda in a nation cup qualifying preliminary first match.
Keshi featured 8 foreign based Eagles at the expense of the home based Eagles who had been together for months and had also prosecuted a friendly match with Liberia with understanding and humility did the nation proud. But for the name foreign based, the home Eagles are better than the foreign based Eagles.
Team coach Stephen Keshi featured only three home based players in Kigali match yet they never let Keshi down, while the big names from foreign based Eagles flopped from the expectation of Keshi and the rest of Nigerians.
Collectively the team that played Rwanda in Kigali agreed that but for luck the Super Eagles would have be defeated by Rwanda, hence Keshi has vowed to feature more of home based players than foreign based Eagles in subsequent international matches.
There are reasons why the home based Eagles are better than their foreign based Eagles. The home based Eagles are hungry for name and exposure, while the foreign based Eagles are playing cautiously to avoid injury in order to still maintain their position in the various foreign clubs, which pay their bills.
Comparatively, the home based Eagles for now are hungry for name and fame, so they play out their hearts in order to command regular place in the Super Eagles squad while the foreign based Eagles are concerned about their welfare and place in their European club sides. In the actual sense, the foreign based ones are more result oriented if they mean to play for Nigeria with their true hearts. ###
