Civil Service Commission Commended

The State Civil Service Commission (CSC) has been commended for its drive to return the service to its pride of place.
Comrade Opuoyibo Tariah Lilly- West State Chairman, Nigeria Civil Service Union who made the commendation in a chat with reporters from the Ministry of Information and Communications in his office, described Sir Martins-Yellowe Chairman of CSC as a man in a hurry to inject the desired dynamism and justice into the Civil Service.
Comrade Lilly-West lauded Governor Amaechi for recognizing Sir Martins commitment and dedication to duty and eagerness to reposition the Civil Service as worth while and enjoined him to remain focused.
He said the commendation is justified by his positive attitude towards work which he has demonstrated by his tour of Ministries to interface with the workers on their prospects and challenges.
The Union Chairman observed that the tour of Ministries was unique and innovative and showed Sir Martins willingness to add value to the Civil Service by providing the desired direction.
“1 want to tell you that the Chairman of the State Civil Service Commission is doing well and we want to appreciate him and also want to say that this is the kind of person we would want to work with in the system. As we speak he is going round the Ministries to know what their problems are and take them to government for consideration and this is a good move for the Civil Service” he noted.
Comrade Lilly-West expressed gratitude to the State government for its support to the Commission by giving a facelift to the office complex which he noted had remained in a sorry state over the years.
The Union Leader therefore appealed to Civil Servants to give their co-operation to the leadership of the Commission to enable theft work in their best interest. ####
