Transparent leadership Initiative (TLI) has reiterated that the organisation would build future leaders of Nigeria.
The International President of TLI, Engr. Prince Onyeche Promise Obinna, spoke in Port Harcourt, Rivers State during a one day national meeting of the body to solicit the support of members for the purpose of installing credible leaders throughout the federation.
He reminded the members that TLI is out to condemn and oppose all forms of discrimination, injustice, oppression, victimization and embezzlement of public funds by leaders.
“We preach to the Nigerian Nation as a clarion call to those who have what to do in this nation to stand aright, God is using the organization to dig deep by exposing dubious elements and there have been some changes since the organization came into being,” he said, citing Petroleum Industry transparency which he said has come to stay in Nigeria and that the cabal has been destroyed due to TLI mission.
Prince Obinna appealed to members, saying, “if you want people to live by transparency, you must show it by your action.”
He informed the people that the national meeting which was the 3rd was also designed to project the task ahead, adding that TLI has been established in 28 states of the federation and inaugurated in 16 states. Buy this attainment, May 2012 has been chosen for its celebration, because we have surpassed other NGOs in the country.”
The president emphasized that TLI’s little commitment was credible at INEC elections and that the organization launched anti-corruption campaign last December in four states, the next being Rivers State which will be launched in four weeks’ time
Other activities which the body had handled include 16 cases in PH holding in Abia in compensation of maginalization which received accelerated attention in Abia State market women for reallocation to uncompleted building.
He urged the members to endeavour to be good ambassadors of the country as the body has worked excellently well within the little time frame TLI was enthroned in the country. ###
