The Chief of Staff, Government House, Rivers state, Sir Anthony Okocha, has told the press that though people talk much about him, all he knows about himself is that he is a child of God.
The knight and politician stated this at Hotel Presidential over the weekend when his friends honoured him with a reception party on his elevation as chief of Staff government House Port Harcourt.
He assured the friends that where he is today is just the making of God, accepting that many eyes are now looking unto him unlike any other office he has ever held and assured them that he would not fail them. He urged them to always pray for him as he could not do it alone except God be with him.
Senator John Mbata who was the chairman of the occasion, described the mass attendance as a proof of the sagacity of Tony Okocha and charged him to discharge his duties favourably and the sky will be his limit.
They also advised Tony not to forget his past and that he should stand on the shoulders of his predecessor, Hon. Nyesom Wike and never to fight him.
Again, he said that he should be a politician per excellence, ever to obey his boss and create relationship with everybody. ###
