The Chairman of Eleme Local Government Council, Hon. Oji Ngofa has inaugurated Ejamah youth body in Ebubu Eleme, to pilot the affairs of the community and also ensure peace in the area.
Speaking during the inauguration ceremony, Hon. Ngofa charged the newly elected Executives to ensure that peace reigns in their various communities, noting that there has been youth restiveness before the election.
Represented by his Chief of Staff, Hon. Fynface Onungwe, the Chairman assured the community of the councils readiness to collaborate with security agencies to maintain peace in the area.
Earlier, the Electoral Committee Chairman, Mr. Lewis Ogidi noted that there has been leadership tussle in Ejamah community for the past three years and expressed gratitude to the council Chairman for putting an end to the situation.
He explained that the election was peaceful, free and fair, enjoining the people to maintain the spirit of peace.
In his speech the Eleme youth council President, Hon. Isaac Obaa urged the new executive to discharge their duties without fear or favour, and advised them to be transparent and committed to duty.
Responding on behalf of his colleagues the President, Comrade John Oguru thanked the council Chairman for inaugurating the youth body, and promised to discharge their duties creditably.
Those elected include, Comrade Godwin Olu, Vice President, Sabastine Ogbo, Secretary, Akara Nnah PRO, Elewa Ollor, Assistant Secretary, Timothy Oluji, Treasurer, and Columbus Ogosu, Provost. ###
