NUJ Inaugurates Credential Committee

The Rivers State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NW) has inaugurated a seven member Credential Committee headed by, Mr. Vincent Needom to organize the fifth triennial delegates conference of the Union in the State.
Inaugurating the Committee, the Chairman of the Union, Mr. Opaka Dokubo charged members to adhere strictly to the provisions of the Constitution in discharging their duties.
Mr. Dokubo who gave them five weeks to deliver on the assignment also reminded members of the Committee that their choices were based on merit and urged them not to betray the confidence reposed on them by journalists in River State.
Responding the Chairman of the 2012 Credential Committee, Mr. Vincent Needom assured journalists that his committee would conduct a free, fair and credible election that the Union would ever live to remember.
The inauguration of the Committee was the high point of the Congress meeting that marked the end of the three year tenure of the present executive council of the Union.
Other members of the Commiltee include, Ilanye Jumbo, lmikubi Lylibox, Clarice Azuataiam, Kinika Mpi, Damiete West while Chris Konkwo is to serve as Secretary.
