EVICTION OF ILLEGAL OCCUPANTS TO BEGIN

The Rivers State Government says it would soon resume eviction of illegal occupants from all government quarters in the State.
Housing Commissioner, Mr. Marshall Uwom stated this at a send- off ceremony of the Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Mr. Ikenna Sibeudu.
Mr. Uwom said the Ministry has compiled a list of government quarters for its data base to enable a stock taking of such properties in the State, adding that the assistance of security personnel would be needed during the exercise.
The Commissioner described the out-going Permanent Secretary, Mr. Sibeudu as a dedicated worker who contributed immensely to the success of the Ministry.
In his speech, Mr. Ikenna Sibeudu thanked the State Government for giving him the opportunity to serve in the State Civil Service despite being a non indigene.
The high point of the event was the presentation of gifts by the Commissioner and goodwill messages from staff of the Ministry. ###
