CLERIC ADVISES CHRISTIANS

Retired Primate of the Anglican Church, Arch Bishop, Peter Akinola has urged Christians to worship God in order to overcome all challenges as “Separation from Him is death”.
He was speaking at the Thanksgiving Service in honour of Justice Adolphus Karibi-Whyte who celebrated his 80th Birthday at St Cyprian’s Anglican Church where the Deputy Governor and his wife were in attendance.
Most Rev. Akinola said man’s life on earth is temporary and thanked God for granting Justice Karibi Whyte the grace to live up to 80 years.
The clergyman remarked that Boko Haram is not a new phenomenon but one of those ideologies fashioned out by Muslims to kill Christians, adding that this situation had been there for the past 46 years.
In another development, the co-ordinator of the Christian Fellowship in the Deputy Governor’s Office and Chairman, Rivers State District Co-ordinating Council (RDCC) of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Pastor Godwin Osuigbo was last Sunday ordained the Chairman of the State Chapter of the Christian Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria at the Abundant Life Evangelical Mission (ALEM), Port Harcourt.
The inaugural ceremony was attended by the State Deputy Governor, Engr. Tele Ikuru, his wife, Dr. Mina Ikuru, the Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, (CAN), Apostle Zilly Aggrey and other dignitaries. ###
