The chairman of Independence Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) Rivers State Branch, Chief Samuel Osaroejor JP has assured the people of Rivers State of possible availability of fuel that is presently causing hardship in the state as well as in the nation very soon.
Speaking to the newsmen in his Onne office on January 18, 2012, the chairman emphasized the abundance of the production in the loading points, explaining that it will start to come to the filing stations as time goes on.
Answering questions from journalists, he explained that those who did not meet up the cost are now paying the difference so that they an lift products as others.
On the issue of deregulation the IPMAN chairman stated that it is a welcome development by the president which at the end of the day will benefit all Nigerians, stating that diesel was deregulated and now the product is available.
He however, praised Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) for their pragmatic steps and appreciated federal government for bringing the price to N97.00.
Chief Samuel Osaroejor JP warned owners of filing stations not to hoard the products as there is a task force set up by government and IPMAN to go round and monitor every filling station.
On the perceived lost encountered by some marketers, he said that this business has profit and lost, in the same way he warned commuters to charge appropriate fair so as not inflict hardship on passengers.
He lauded and congratulated Rivers people for the good conduct during the period of the nationwide strike. ###
