Abuloma People Decry Contractor’s Inefficiency

The people of Abuloma community and its neighbouring communities have appeal to the government of Rivers state to expedite action with the contractor handling the Abuloma local government construction and not allow economic activities crippled in the area due to the state of the on-going project in the area.
A member of Okrika and Abuloma council of chiefs and popularly known as chief Orumo made this assertion when speaking our correspondent in his country home Abuloma adding that abandonment of the Aboluma Road project has crippled economic activities going on the area and causing traffic jam in the area.
He appeals to the state government under the leadership of Governor Chibuike Amaechi to urge the contractor since the raining days have not commenced.
The Honourable chief also used the platform to thanked Governor Amaechi for considering the project as a determinant of development in ward 20 of Port Harcourt Local government council. He further state that the people of Aboluma and the council of chief will support the leadership of the Governor to attract more development in the area at all times and must be law abiding at all times.
Speaking with some resident of the area, some of the residence said the contractor is not helping matters having known the busy of the road and decided to do the job as his personal assignment without sharing the feelings of the residence of the area. They also expressed regret ion the slow space of the construction and lack of material and tractors making things more difficult for them. Effort to speak with the contractor to hear his own side of the story proved aborted as at the time of filing this objective report. ###
