The Khana Local Government Council, vice Chairman, Chief (Hon.) Barine Innocent Nwiloh took his wife to the altar for marriage blessing and dedicated his child to God on Sunday December 18, 2011, at Wesley Cathedral Methodist Church of Nigeria, Bori.
The occasion was a glamour to behold and drew men and women from far and near and from all fields of life with the reception being one in town as far as Bori is concerned for now.
In his speech, the chairman of the occasion, Mene Kaka 1 of Ogoniland, Chief Bodo N. Ado, described the marriage as successful since the couple could stay together until they have finally resolved to go for marriage blessing and advised them to keep to the vows of marriage with regard and respect for one another’s view points.
Chief Bodo who represented the council boss added that they should ever be thankful to God and serve God and humanity as they proffer solutions to problems that affect them and others.
Hon. Nwiloh told newsmen that he took his wife to altar to bring God into his marriage and family, something we could not afford when he married due to financial handicap.
He thanked God who he praised for taking him so far as he confessed to have started life from a poor parental background.
Nwiloh advised bachelors not to rush into women so that they will not make wrong choices, adding that being a teacher he groomed his wife from the classroom where he met her and today she is to his own taste.
Funny enough, Barine dressed his wife in Ogoni women tradition attire for him to admire at all time. ###
