The long awaited dreams of Jumbo Major House of Grand Bonny Kingdom has come to pass, as Chief Horace Ferdinand Herbert Oko Jumbo moved into Bonny Chiefs council on Saturday, December 10, 2011.
Chief Horace is the chief and head of Jumbo Major House of Grand Bonny Kingdom.
The growing tensions became very calm in all quarters of major house of Bonny as the issue is settled.
. Many who were at the Perekule palace as the Amanyanabo in council, King Edward Asimini William Dappa Pepple inducted Chief Horace Oko Jumbo into the Bonny Chiefs council, felt happy because the chief suffered about than 34 cases in different courts for 12 years.
In his speech, King Edward Pepple charged Chief Oko Jumbo to forego all the litigations meted to him by some persons from Jumbo Major House, to enable him pilot the affairs of the House effectively.
King Pepple lauded Chief Horace for his wisdom during the court cases and appealed to all members of Jumbo Major House to embrace peace now that the House has got a leader.
The Amanyanabo charged the chief to carry everybody along in the scheme of thing, saying that segregation will not bring anything good into the House.
In his remarks, Chief Horace F.H Oko Jumbo assured that he would work hilariously with his subjects without hesitation.
The chief confirmed that his aim was how the image of House would move forward in the interest of the unborn generation.
He noted that Jumbo Major House is a large family which needs all hands to be on deck for effective development, adding, “I need cooperation of all sons and daughters of the family because there is no victor and no vanquished, “ as he lit up the unity light showing the beginning of a new dawn.
In his view, Amaopusenibo Wilson E.S. Jumbo, said he was impressed with the occasion and that history has come and gone.
Wilson charged the chief to embrace peace, because Harmony is the best way we needed now, so as to gain progress and cooperation. He added.
Also speaking, Dr. Furo Ibiama said chief Horace is an energetic fighter for winning about 34 cases in different courts.
Dr. Ibiama urged all to come together and forget about the past so as to move the House forward.
Kalada Jumbo in his own part, said it was important to have a credible chief in Bonny chiefs council, adding that he was sure that Chief Horace would perform better.
Also speaking, Prof. Edward Banigo tasked Chief Horace to bring his wealth of experience into piloting the affairs of Jumbo Major House stool.
According to Prof. Banigo who confirmed that chief Horace was one of his students in the early 60s, said “with his brilliance, I will encourage him to do his best to deliver Jumbo Major House at all the times.
On behalf on the women group, Wariopusenibo Elfrida Jumbo lauded chief Horace for his peaceful coordination during the court days, noting that the chief is a peace loving leader.
Elfrida called on all to come together irrespective of the outgone disunity in Jumbo Major House and charged the women to work as a team so as to project the image of the chief and the entire House. ###
