Treasure House Of Fire Ministry Celebrates 12th Anniversary …Ordains The Newswriter Staff

Treasure House of Fire Ministry Inc. aka Peculiar Praise Christian Ministries Inc. celebrated her 12th Annual Thanksgiving anniversary.
The Thanksgiving celebration with the theme, “Open Heaven”, was held on December 11, 2011.
The programme which commenced with the teaching of the word of God on the topic ‘Christian and Dressing’ was rounded up with advice from the General Overseer to the members of the church saying that their dressing should bring glory to God and not shame.
The General Overseer, Apostle Dr. Abraham Chukwuka Fisher, giving his sermon on the theme ‘Open Heaven’, said thanksgiving brings open heaven on the lives of individuals.
He said Christians should see the need to appreciate God always as it brings about a turn around in the lives of people and cited Gen. 4:3-11, where God reacted on behalf of a man because of his sacrifice.
The General Overseer, who also commented on the mode of dressing of Christians which has taken the shape of prostitutes in the streets, making it difficult to know the difference between a Christian sister or brother and those in the world.
He condemned the act and urged Christians to live according to the standard of the word of God and not one that is out to bring souls to destruction.
“As you dress, that is how people will address you”, the General Overseer stated, citing 1 Tim. 2:9.
Ordaining members into key positions in the church, he advised those that were ordained as pastors, deacon and deaconess to live a life that is worthy of emulation, as they were elevated for better functioning of the church
Those ordained into key positions in the church were, Udoaka Nse Friday Edith, staff of The Newswriter, as Senior Pastor, Evangelist Christopher Udoh, Youth Pastor, Bro. Victor Orukpe, Deacon and Sister. Hosanna John Naton, as Deaconess, while Bro. Sylvester Nwankwo was commissioned into evangelism field for soul winning.
Speaking to the ordained members concerning their position, Apost. Dr. A. C. Fisher told them that challenges will come but that they should look unto God as the source of their strength.
He later administered the oath of office for them to be loyal and to defend the church at all times and be available whenever they are called upon.
Apost. Dr. A. C. Fisher thanked God for having kept every soul under the ministry safely, with no record of death since the inception of the church for 12 years.
He also thanked God for preserving him in God’s vineyard for 21 years even in the face of one challenge or the other.
Finally, he enjoined Christians all over the world to be the mouth piece of Jesus Christ for those who have not received him as his personal Lord and Saviour.
The occasion featured families who felt the need to appreciate God for His protection and mercy through out the year, by giving thanks.
In appreciation, the Senior Pastor, Pst. Udoaka Nse Friday Edith, on behalf of the ordained, expressed her gratitude to the General Overseer for counting them worthy to serve the church and the flock therein, promising that they will not disappoint the church.
During the ordination, the wife of the General Overseer, Pastor. Mrs. Joy A. C. Fisher, thanked God that women were the people that supported the ministry of Jesus Christ to greater height and said because women have been ordained into key positions, the work of God in this ministry will continue to excel and stand firm.###
