The resignation of former under 23 Dream v coach is an honourable decision to commend. This is because it is rare for a Nigerian coach to tow this path of honour, without fear of losing his salary and position which Nigerian coaches enjoy being Nigerian’s national team coaches.
For the first time in the history of Nigerian football, a gallant son of the country has come out boldly to accept responsibility of failure, which was hardly seen in the character of a typical Nigeria coach.
Only time will tell on the honourable path outspoken Eguavoen has taken to write his name in gold in the country’s history book of honourable sports men with conscience.
With the resignation of his appointment as coach of the under 23 Dream V, the Nigeria Football Federation technical committee should tow the same honourable path taken by Eguavoen by resigning their positions as technical committee members of the Nigeria football federation (NFFTC) reason being that under their tenure everything about football in the country failed. Samson Siasia failed, they sacked him, coach Eucharia failed, they sacked her, now Eguavoen honourably accepted his failure after apologizing and resigned. What else are the technical committee members of the Nigeria football federation sitting tight in the apex football decision making body waiting for?
As a matter of fact, all members of the Technical committee of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), if they have conscience should, without being reminded, resign their positions honourably.
Under their administration, Nigerian football has failed woefully. If they continue to be there, who knows what will befall the country later? ###
