I WON’T RHYME THIS

Jumping from one bus of sorrow to another
Sorrow has become a song we sing
Pain and anguish supplying the beat
From one bus stop of tribulations to another.
Today the plane crashed because of gallops in the sky
Yesterday the tanker blew; no fuel so we planted some to grow
The days before men sit to worship and were roasted like sheep
The other day birds gave us flu, as we took them for food
The list is long and gives spice to sorrows song
Now this Saturday shock that stopped many clock
Electrocution is not a worm in our tradition
Trans Amadi Industrial area is now decorated for funeral
No I won’t rhyme this piece
I am tired of living far from peace
Bring her close let her wipe my running nose
In pain I am seated and cannot pose
We need to go to court and pray to God
It is time we embrace happiness and say bye bye to sadness.
