Hon. Kingsley Nana P. Akaninwor has emerged victorious as the president of the Oroazi Youth Movement, in the just concluded youth election held at the town hall, in Rumene, Obi/Akpor Local Government Area.
In a brief interview session with the press after his inauguration, he disclosed that he would register the youth body with the Rivers State opportunities for the youths, as it forms part of his five-point agenda.
He further revealed that he would provide scholarship for the youths as a way of motivating them in their academic pursuit, as well as, keeping the spirit of education aglow, vis-à-vis the enhancement of the standard of education in Obio/Akpor.
He made it known, that he would make provision for a youth bus as a mark of development in the area of transportation.
To this end, Chief Emund Akaniwor, commended the youths for their calmness in the conduct of a free and fair election, adding that youths are noted for their violent behaviour, but youths of Obio/Akpor has proved that notion wrong as the presence of security agents and the press lent credence to this.
He stated further that “the era of going to the bush to grab money is over. How you would make your input? I congratulate those of you that won and also those that lost. I thank all of you that came to witness the election. Whatever your problem is, do not fail to come to me for advice.
The electoral chairman, Mr. Azunda Ovunda Edward, noted that the election was the most peaceful and democratic ever held in the community, as he urged the new administration to focus on education.
The former President of Oroazi youth Movement, also a former councillorship aspirant on the platform of PDP, opined that the election was free and fair and the winner won as the right candidate, adding that he deserved their support.
He maintained that they see him as one who could serve, and project the image of the youth body in a good light, as he is capable of actualizing the set goals of the youths.
Also speaking to the press, Chief Toney Onunwe, alias General, a former president of Oroazi Youth Movement, urged the newly constituted executives to form Elders Forum as he would be very instrumental in the forum.
He went further to outline his numerous achievements during his administration in the area of youth empowerment, security and assistance to widows.
He expressed optimism for the new administration.

Secretary), Princewill Jeff Akaninwor (PRO), Nyema Godknows Akaninwor (Treasurer), Chineye Israel Akaninwor (financial Secretary), Nyebuchi Uncle-Akaninwor (Welfare Secretary), Sir Prince Emenike Akaninwor (Provost 1), Mr. Nzenye Kinikanwo Akaninwor (Provost 2).
Finally, Hon. Kingsley Nana Akaninwor expressed his profound gratitude to God Almighty for the land slide victory as he thanked his supporters and well wishers for giving him their mandate, adding that his administration would be all encompassing, as he promised effective service delivery to the people. ###
